⌛ new in here : Neuvorstellung

Hi, I am from Germany travelling arround the islands. In December 2008 I will go to Panglao and then to Siquijor.

 

Siquijor NO NO !!!!

Siquijor doesn't have the best reputation it is not a place for tourist.

 

Teacher what are you talking about, Siquijor is a tourist Island I think you are mixed up with some other Island

Siquijor most of the filipino's I know even my wife have always said it is not a safe place to go.. of course they can be wrong because they always talking about witches there.

you really shouls think about your sources of information. What you state in your posts is really 90% crap. It is not the first time you give travellers just total wrong information... It is safer on Siquijor than taking a trike in Duma from why Not to Bethel (100 m).

welcome to DI. Siquijor is a wonderful, peaceful quiet Island. You will have a great time there if you don't look for party. When you are flexible you can stay a few days in the south and a few in the north. The Island has some nive beaches, 40plus caves and small waterfalls to explore. There are nice mostly simple Resorts all around the Island and the population is very friendly. Food simple but delicious.

The only dangerous thing you may encounter are the brooms of the witches. If you go for a midnight-ride, make sure it is a douple seater and registered with the LTO.

 

and if someone puts their hand on your shoulder.....watch out....you might be possessed by the devil...it will be a rerun of the Exorcist.

Don't believe everything you hear from superstitious family members Teacher. Siquijor is a lovely place. Short but sweet is right about the beaches and resorts and that it aint a party place but I'll be there after New Year looking to make my own party.

It's a really nice place to ride a motorbike due to the quiet roads and with luck a cute witch might jump on the back of my bike.

I have never told anyone where to, where not to go before now. and don't think I will again. I just did what a Bana has to listen to his Asawa. So I think you must be thinking of someone else. However it I have offended in some sort of way I am sorry. I have always been a defender of the Filipino's.

 

Don't worry Teacher, no offense, Some times I take asawa ko with a pinch of salt.
