there are a few Ducatis available, usually used ones.

Moto Guzzi, very very few and d*mn hard to get spare parts, a friend is waiting since month and can't ride.

Ok, but now going back to the thread: Honda XR230 soon?

My new Honda CRF230L is on the way, should be here by February hehehe

Now I am really confused. True ? The obvious question, where are you getting it from ? Private import, or Honda Philippines ? How much ?

Regarding Ducatis etc. While many of the roads here are very good in this part of southern Philippines, many are poor and a Ducati would shake itself to pieces. Also there is the very good chance that either a child or an animal would cross the (narrow) road when you least expect it.

If anyone knows anything about Triumphs, the NEW Bonneville would be excellent. They are now made in Thailand, perhaps the tax would be lowerfrom there

the bike will be imported, not from Honda Philippines. Price is still expensive so.

    Hi Kuyaoli,

How about some more information, regarding price, importer etc. I might be interested, as the 2009 XR 200 is now 120,000p. My phone number is 09153530658.

    Hi Dave,

not sure if you are interested, as for the price I am paying you can get about two and a half 2009 XR 200 he he he.

No, but I really wanted to have that bike. I know it is a lot of money but I am very sure the quality is much better then the local manufactured bikes.

If you are still interested, then I can text you the details of the importer. His shop is in Quezon City.

I love big enduro bikes, but nonetheless I put over 12,000km on a Honda XLR 200. Took me everywhere I wanted to go in Phils, lots of spare parts in towns too.

I added the speedometer assy. from the local XR 200, as the speedometer from the CRF was in miles. The meter fitted perfectly inside the case as it is exactly the same as the XR200.

Great bike I guess. I don't why one would pay so much more for only 30cc and a rear disc. Some shops were adding rear discs from KMXs to XLR200s a few years ago..

I saw an XR 250 w rear disc yesterday in Cebu. I remember a bike like that there a few years ago. I think the owner worked for FedEx. This bike was riding with guys on a Transalp and XR 600 among others.

Saw a nice burgundy 883 Sportster on the Matiao barge that had come from Siquijor heading for Cebu yesterday as well..

I'd go with the KTM 540 myself

it's not only a rear disc break and 30cc more, it is the complete bike is total different quality, much better then the local XR. Great 6 gear engine, quite engine, two throttle cable, great clutch. It really has many new developed and improved parts then the XR.

    I really love that bike.
