    Hi there guys in Dumaguete,

we are a mixed, cosmopolitan couple in our 30's and thinking of moving to Dumaguete for a couple of months/years. Before we lived in Singapore, Thailand, Bali and currently Goa in India.

We know and love the Philippines from a dozen visits to Boracay, the islands around Cebu and Palawan.

I will read up a bit in this forum about all the day-2-day stuff, but will probably come back soon with concrete questions, from internet access (3G preferred), to buying a scooter bike to apartment/house rental.

Cheers and thanks for now!

    Chris

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum.

I saw your other post on internet access first and replied to that earlier. Despite the naysayers here, who seem never to be satisfied, there are many options in Dumaguete for internet access.

Enjoy the board and perhaps we'll meet here in the future.

Hi, welcome to the forum. Are you both Indian national? Why I asked, have several Indian friends in my city here in the US where I live. When it comes to food, I love your spicy food and best of all the friendly Indian people. I'm so glad to read your post that you and your wife are planning to be in Dumaguete for two months or so. So welcome to Dumaguete soon!

Thanks for the friendly Welcome! No, I'm not Indian, in fact I'm a German citizen, my spouse is Asian (although not Pinoy).

Yep, the Indian food is great and simply delicious. One of the main reasons we want to stay here for some 6 months. Unfortunately, besides the food, there isn't much what holds us here, so better back to South East Asia, where the heart is. ;-)
