I'm with maryfee on this one. It looks like another lost opportunity to me.

    Too bad!

    Make Millions on the Internet

I have finally got around to reading the messages here. Pretty funny LOL. Only one person it seems has any idea of what I was trying to do. The Dude. Wow, most of you here are so uptight and full of yourselves.

The caption "Making Millions" was JUST an attention getter!' Hell, if I could make millions and do you really think I would be living here in the Philippines? Get real lol. I would rather be on a huge boat cruising around Miami or something. Well maybe LOL.

There were no lessons to be learned unless someone wanted to know about certain areas or topics. For example, one week a person could give a lesson on a certain technique he/she used in Photoshop.

This was not setup to enlist anyone in any money making marketing or MLM schemes. Paronaid or what LOL.

My only reason for having a computer club was for like minded people to meet. To share what they do and perhaps some networking. That's it.

In the 1st and Last..meeting that took place there were 3 couples and one single man. The men did get together separately for awhile but not all the time. Everyone became fast friends. We talked about ourselves and our time in Dumaguete. Actually very little time was spent discussing computers.

It was a casual affair and it was a great get-together.

One of the things I wanted was people to leave their egos at home and just come here and have a bit of fun. I hate uptight arrogant people. In retrospect I am happy that most of you on this thread did not attend.

The Dude I have a few days left and would love to get together with you for a few cold ones. The rest of you who put me down and this opportunity to share knowledge and help others with computer problems etc. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!

It strikes me funny that some people are only happy when they tear others down. The dirty laundry syndrome. They never look on the bright side. What a way to go through life. What a dismal way to live.

There will be no more meetings in my home for any Dumaguete Computer Club unless some of the people who attended start one up or perhaps someone else starts one up on their own. I wish I had of tried earlier in my stay here as I did find some very nice people to chat with by initiating this club. People with some very worthwhile and interesting stories to tell. People with allot of class and people with imagination.

This all brings me to a saying that I like, It is better to live your live and then die, than to live your life dying!.

Sorry to hear your leaving, I wish I had the opportunity to meet. I also enjoy sharing what I have learned in the IT field with others who want to learn. Most of my time is spent in the states because I have to earn a wage to make what we want possible. If you ever make it to Florida let me know perhaps we can have a chat. Good luck.

Thanks Pedro for the invitation. I am trying to get a direct flight to Las Vegas. I will be for 2 weeks and then off to Canada. I spent winters in New Port Richey as a Snow Bird. Do you live in that area?

IT is such a broad term. There is so much to be learned within those parameters. I really like learning about many facets of IT and I like speaking about it with others.

I used to belong to a large computer club in Toronto, Ontario. I had over a 1,000 members. During the month various members would how other members how to do things like building a simple web page. Through the computer club they were able to rent rooms in libraries and such. I usually went to 2 or 3 sessions a month and learned allot.
