Thats sounds definitely like a plan... By the way we have Dark Erdinger and Paulaner Weizen in Dumaguete in a restaurant, with 180 Peso it's less than 3 Euro, so not too bad for real beer....

sorry to talk off-topic, but it's to a neighbor...

I have drank San Miguel Pale Pilsen in many places in the world including Werl, Osnabruck, Hamberg and in London clubs and bars. German Beers okay, draft of course is better, but it always causes a chemical after taste of which good old San Miguel never does. At 20 - 45 pesos or so its more attractive to me than paying 180 Peso's. However even though I don't often drink nowday's I could really kill a pint of British Bitter (real beer not made with female hops and chemicals) or a Scrumpy Cider. I expect I have to wait until I go to Hong Kong as you can not get a real draft beer here in Dumaguete City. lol

However the beer taste is normally acquired in ones early drinking days and if your hooked on the chemical stuff it could be for life. Of course the normal just below room temperature British habit would make a German shudder. I can remember that face expression of the guy serving me a beer after saying the beers not cold sir, of course being British I actual savored the idea of drinking a beer that did not have that arctic chill.

I used to love going to the real ale shows in UK and taste the real ales and the strongest ciders, now I have really made myself home sick.

But Rhoody we are in a place where one of the worlds leading Pilsen is brewed and its as cheaper than anywhere else in the world, when I was a boozer I took advantage of that factor and the fact some of the best rums and brandy are brewed here also.

But I bet your like everbody's else and make great savings in drinking the local beers as most of us ex-pats are not rich enough to buy rounds of beer at 180 peso's each. lol

Real Beer is the beer that one likes and another may not meet the taste of many others. Logical I expect most ex-pats from differing nations would differ from your taste in what you view as real beer. I have even know Germans hooked on British beer and Brits hooked on German Beer. Belgium however boasts of the dearest and the best beers in the world, unfortunately I could never really afford to drink the dearest beer, so I can not give it a credit rating. I however have tasted some of the cheaper beers of which have good body and taste nice, but that d*mn after taste.

Well I will try some of this German beer you recommend one day soon, when I feel rich. lol

    My dear Babelfish,
you don't need to waste my serverspace when you don't know what you are talkin about.
1.) The San Miguel you drink in many places has nothing to do with the SMB in the Philippines (unless you buy it in a asia shop imported)
2.) the post was clearly addressed (ant it was not to a expired comic creature)
3.) you bore me to death
4.) 4 different DI names are enough
5.) great to had you here again
6.) now you can walk around again and tell everybody how bad people from DI are and me in special.
    cheer

    Rhoody
