This is rhyss, Im based in Osaka, I am always been fascinated by both the mystique and beauty of Siquijor. Im looking to buy a property there, I hope by joining this forum I can learn moer about the place and you guys can help me make an informed decision.

I have been through that process and will be glad to be of help. If you could tell me a little about yourself and what you are looking for and what you want to know, that will be a great starting point.

A little about me, I am Filipino and I currently work and live in California. My hubby and I just completed the process of exploring life in Siquijor, searching for properties and buying one. We are actually starting to build our home in the next few weeks (target date of completion is 10 months). It was a daunting task, but we did it and are very happy with the results so far.

I am Filipino guy, lived and worked in New York for 6 years. Married to a Japanese lady, thus the big move to Osaka, to be near her family and quite close to mine in the Philippines.

Thanks a lot. We would like to purchase a beachfront lot in Siquijor, 600 sq/m or less. Maybe, build small resort 3-4 rooms and a place to live for our retirement, which will be 18 years from now, lol.

I will be going home for a short visit to the Philippines during the Holy week. You`re help would really be a big boost,since Im not from Siquijor at all. My family is from Manila, and well my wife, based on our visits wil never be suited for the pollution and mess Manila had become.

When you reach the "DI-member" status you will be able to send PM, "Junior members" have some restrictions, as we had plenty of issues and abuses in the past with new members sending useless and spamming PM , from pass a load to selling nokias and offending dating-crap.

just be aware of so much off-line help of people, if it is interesting and information it should be online. Guys like bikerdave, Rhoody, Shadow and others living in Dumaguete a long time and answer each question honestly. There is no reason to follow "experienced" people from 3 holidays and PM-Pinoys who make secrets....

I bought a great lot on Panglao Dec2007, 2 minutes walk to mainstreet,
max. 5 to the beach (visible from my lot) 150 peso/m2. If you get a similar price on Siquijor, let me know, we (my asawa and I) take it.Prices in Duma and surrounding areas are totally sick, taking the givens.... cut a 0 off and it becomes realistic
