Just returned from a trip to Dumaguete and want to tell you all about this great place to eat. We found this cafe/dive shop by accident while looking for a place to eat and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Absolutely great meals at fantastic price. The menu is not extensive but we all enjoyed everything we ordered. The service may be considered slow because they prepare the meals as you order and they come out hot and fresh so if you are in a big hurry, this may not suit you. In the evening you a choice of Bluefin Tuna, Chicken Leg, or Pork Chop grilled right there. The staff were all friendly and provided great service. We struggled to finish the huge portion they served as breakfast items such as the Spanish Omelet or Pancake Sandwish. If you are on a diet.....

I agree, really great food. It's also a nice place to hang out and drink some beer at night because it's right on the boulevard. You might also get a chance to BS with Mike after he is done with all his dive stuff that he does during the day.

    Waterfront Cafe

Yes, I forgot to mention how nice and easy going the host Mike was. Had a few beers after a great dinner, enjoying the view, and was thinking "Life is good". Hope he finds his lost boat.

    Outstanding

I'll just put my good word in for the Waterfront cafe as well.

I had the grilled tuna (I requested it "half cooked" and it came out perfectly! First time for me to have the food out anywhere just the way I like). My companions had the seafood burrito, and grilled porkchops. All was outstanding, and not pricey at all. The beer was cold.

I met Mike (owner), who was a real nice guy, and he does a great job teaching the local kids how to behave... (Funny side story there). His staff is very warm and friendly. Our waitress refused our tip as being too generous.

    What more can we say?

One missing thing? Margaritas. (A small gripe, not a deal breaker)
