Daff, please use a bit sense for reality, that simply won't happen... it's way more likely that 10000 teenagers and students slip in a 1.500 peso jeans, even they know they can't afford, but it's the same Pacquiao was wearing in a commercials for muscle gain...

    DTI assistance

I've been in similar scenarios over the past at Super Lee Plaza. Didn't take me long to go to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to file a complaint after a "customer desk" rep gave me some crap for an answer. The DTI, after investigating the incident, issued an order in my favor. Sure, for some, it would be going out of the way to visit the said office to raise a concern, but it pays off. If DTI does not help, then that is something else. Let me know, so I can play it up and make it to the news headlines. Cheers!

I was told that information first hand by a friend who was newly hired there. That was 8yrs ago though-back when Lee paid all of P80 a day.

Sales staff is turned over regularly btw, all of them are hired for just under 6 mos, after their contract expires they wait 2 mos to see if they're rehired. I was just told that a month ago.

Take it easy on them, they're working for around P150 a day and facing extinction...

    facing extinction...

"facing extinction..." ?? Seems a powerfully strong remedial measure for a missing AAA cup. Care to elaborate a little bit?

THIS is the root of all the problems in there, they get sacked just before the 6 months are up, so Lee Plaza does not have to pay SSS and 13th month salary...

In return Lee Plaza has some of the most useless sales staff, because once they have almost completed training they are out the door...

This is not unique to Lee Plaza, this is very common practice all over the country, it is very hard for someone, unless they are very good at their jobs, to find and keep a job for more than 6 months for these exact reasons...

When we still lived in Dumaguete, we hired one of the sales ladies from Lee Plaza as a maid in the house, her salary with us as a maid was more than she made before, she was good at her job and we were going to bring her up here when we moved, too bad she turned out to be a thief so she got sacked on the spot about 3 days before we left Dumaguete - but that is another story...

150 peso is way than the average waitress gets in any place in Dumaguete.

You never know how to feel about it. I've talked to one girl there I thought seemed on the ball about working for us in my wife's business a few months after her final Super Lee contract expires in May, but she couldn't be more disinterested
