hi guys...you can post your experiences either good or bad if you've been to, had a transactions with any of the government offices here in Dumaguete. It can probably answer the questions: were you entertained? were they accomodating? were they all present? stuffs like that... so as other people wuld know...Thanks

    Hi Dumzville,

If your question is really serious I want to suggest you going this thread:
    http://www.dumagueteinfo.com/board/dumaguete-city/store-tells-shopper-you-cant-try-blouses-4404.html

and replace "Lee Plaza" w/ "government offices" and "sales staff/ladies" with "government officials"

but thats maybe only my experience from immigration to BIR to SSS to "one-stop-shop"-lie of business renewal (where many offices are involved) I guess there is also a thread about that.

    I can't say anything better

that question has got to be a fishing trip for compliments from sum1 in Government here or a legitamate question from someone thats never been to the philippines?

but here's my opinion on the legal system , and my interface with there Police force, thats here "to protect and serve" haha thats the first joke.

Lets talk about NIB lol i can't use there real abreviation cos they might know i'm talking about them, but seeing how efficient they are, they'll never be able to unscramble the 3 letter abbreviation. i was arrested by them cos one of them fancied my "loving partner" he then proceeded to harrass people i knew and even my new girlfriend!!

the court system leaves a lot to be desired, as do the preliminary things like lack of a Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to filter stupid claims out that just clog the system up with crap that should never even get to a "real" court lol sorry but true!

I don't know who's "model" the philippines copied for there legal system but i'd suggest a re-think!! go for the English one... it's crap also in some areas, but hey u may swing a world tour out to go "view" others legal systems hahaha

All that seems negative, but after a few hic-ups and much wasted time i got the right decision.

When i was first arrested the officers that arrested me were absolutly rude and ignorant! being jailed on false charges, just reinforces the need for a CPS.

the fact that much of the police can only speak pigeon english didn't help either, although i also know now some very nice police officers in the regular police here, so i'm not talking about ALL of them!

all the above to some people may seem like a rant, but in all honesty they don't even stick to there own consitution on humane treatment, cos i have literally seen pig pens that are cleaner and have better facilities than the Dumaguete Jail, and the fact that when ur banged up ur on public display!!!! is even against the Geneva convention and you can't even do that to some git thats just tried to blow ur head off!!! maybe after the accused has been FOUND GUILTY, it maybe appropriate????

but after all that, if i wanted england i'd be there...no? i love it here, thats a minor set back, we all know corruption is in abundance, and if it was money everyone in the philippines would be very well off.......oopppppps it is!!! and their not, think about it!!

i've also heard that electioneers pay for votes, i dunno much about that, but if they are......? the money has to come from sumwhere....... i'm sure they'll want it back as soon as they get into power!
