Good day to everyone ! I used to take Airphilippines from Manila to Dumaguete, though when I looked to their flight schedule, they don't seem to fly to DMG anymore ! Instead I found Cebu Pacific ! Are there other Carrier ? which one do you advise me to take ? Thanks a lot
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific both can be booked online (if your credit card works w. Ceb Pac) PAL allows 20 Kg CP only 15 kg Extra charge PAL 44 PHP/KG versus CP 100 PHP/KG
Just do not try and buy the tickets with a credit card at the airport! I made the reservations for 6 people and 2 dogs and when I went to PAL at the airport the credit card machine was working! I asked them how long this has been like this and they said 2 months! I called the owner and got all of my tickets for free. I think the people that managed Air Phil got into some trouble regarding the credit card machine being broken. It might be working now. If you ever get into a jam like this, I suggest that you just go to a a local travel agency. Inside 'Why Not' will take your credit card and get you the tickets.
If you wish to pay the higher prices at a travel agency, Why Not? It is your free choice to do so. The one time I did so, the agency even wanted me to pay a surcharge for using my credit card. I understand this practice is common outside North America - I'm just not used to it.
I thought AirPhil does not fly to Dumaguete since a while. Philippine Airlines is easy. With a working CC just go to a net Cafe or use your notebook at a WIFI Spot and book your flight. No charges (maybe 10 peso for Internet Cafe+3 for print-out), faster and no need to deal with "high qualified" staff
This was about a year ago so, maybe Air Phil has pulled out. I do remember the girl behind the counter telling me that there is a travel company right down the street that would take my credit card and I could buy the tickets there. I immediately smelled a rat (because I have become so jaded living in this environment) So, I just called the owners of PAL. Either this person managing the office was mentally inept or something fishy was taking place. The look on her face when I gave her my phone to talk to the owner TT, priceless! I thought she was going to 7*&^% in her pants!
