    Possibilities

How about trying the subdivisions? The land portions are usually paid by installment. Housing loans are I think still available from the good banks. How about trying a negotiation with a hardware store regarding building materials paid by easier installments? I am not sure about the labor portion though. My two cents.

    marry the right what???????

marrying just for the sake of having house and lot????it's gaining at the expense of others!!!!!!it's better to have it at longer time than have it at a blink of an eye in a manner not tolerable!!!!

Yes, you can finance a house and lot. Are you a member of Pag-Ibig Fund? If you are a foreigner or have a foriegn permanent residency, you should check out financing options through overseas institutions. These would be much more favorable terms than those offered by local institutions.

But local banks offer house and lot loans...typically 5 to 7 year terms and 15% to 18% per annum with large down payments.

    I just did it myself..

I built my own home.. Bought a lot... 750,000 pesos it could be done cheaper I heard. Just not sure how with a kano around. But I don't think it could still be done in Dumaguete. There are so many foreigners there that the prices have been driven to high. You can Look around my area check out Gingoog City in Mindanao wonderful place. every one always sees it as a great place to build a life. No malls stilll has that small town feel that we all miss in the west..

you can still et land at a good price, but remember you can never truly own it, only 40%. i just bought a lot. 1000m2 for 600,000p overlooking cedu strights. my builder charges p300 a day while the labours get p200 a day. as for the prices of other things, i leave it in my wifes hands.

As a foriegner, you can never truly own any portion of it whatsoever, unless you inherit it, which is still debatable. Your Filipino SPOUSE can own it.

You're not another one of those that got suckered into forming an illegal corporation, are you?

You can own the building but not the land so they say.If your wife gets a restraining order than you cannot get to the house you think you own. You cannot lease from your wife. You can inherit it if she's an orphan L.O.L Do you think the rest of the family will let you have it? Possibly if it is built dreamworld
