I have a friend who went to the well recommended Chong Hua in Cebu. Severe second degree (I think) sunburn. Anyway, blistered skin. you would think a simple diagnoses and treatment. The doctors had no knowledge of the treatment nor could they make any recommendations. No antibiotics no pain relief, zilch. In the Phils I guess most people are4 dark skinned so no treatment is familiar.

Tried to post this before but it never went through, server problems maybe... A friend of mine was at the so called prestigious Chong Hua hospital in Cebu for what should have been a routine treatment. Severe sunburn. This included blistered skin. The astute doctors their had no clue as to the treatment. no antibiotic ointment, pain relief etc. I could do better. Apparently this is an uncommon ailment in a country of dark skinned people.

Yes, check them out....Given your criteria - Puerto Princesa would immediately be scratched off the list. I'd say CDO, Bacolod, Tagum, and Tagaytay would be your best contenders. Have a look at Dumaguete though. You may find it meets specs....or like it too much to care! I'd say Bacolod for sure but I'm biased....and you can always drive to Dumaguete to relax...

Doesn't surprise me....we had a friend several years ago, a Bacolod sugar grower, who had a gut ailment and was sent to a big Manila hospital (can't remember which one - but it would have been good - he could afford it). They weren't sure what was wrong with him so they explored, and explored, and explored some more....eventually they found what was wrong with him - bowel cancer, but they they left him a mass of zig-zag scar tissue from middle chest to legs. Anyway, they did fix him up, re-did his plumbing for a while, and got rid of the cancer eventually - but he looks like a science project....

Oh hey, I also own a UPS but got that one from Dubai so that it would be cheaper. Ironically, when i bought it, i realized there was a text on the corner of the box that clearly states "Made in the Philippines" lol

I know a place where they sell an APC 650. That's the model i have, you can't go wrong with APC. But i forgot the price, i'll inquire about it next time i pass there.
