That's one of the angles the police are looking into. Question is, who took him out? Was it one of the bad guys, too, that he crossed????

We get the same stuff here in America all the time ,drug deals gone bad, rival gang killings, it really sucks to know this kind of thing is happening in every part of the world, any uninhabited islands for sale cheap? Why can't every one just drink cold beer and get along? It works for me....:D
A cold beer and a warm woman and good friends what else do people need?
About 90% of the people in my city are armed and it seems to keep down local crime, but there is that few that will make trouble anytime they can. but I still say the answer is good friends a loving woman and cold beer! when I get to Dumaquete I want to visit Coyote's place and the first 10 beers are on me... If I get shot at its ok ,but if they shoot my beer I going to get angry..Have a great day everyone!

    Jerry.

We just had a text circulated around here:

FYI - donations needed for station 4 as outgoing commander didnt pay electric bill and power will be cut tomorrow. 47K pesos needed.

I guess that is Angeles Finest...

The article I read online indicated the guy was an ex or present (take your pick) NPA leader. (New Peoples Army communist resistance).
Supposedly he was "retired" and speculation was that he was shot by NPA operatives, because of his reformation.
His wife said he was going to borrow money to buy rice for the family, however the same report indicated he had over 2000 pesos in his pocket.???

More than likely you can assume the opposite and government vigilantes took him out "extra judicially". There is a lot of rebel activity of late in Negros especially in the Siaton area I am told. Dumaguete is the money laundering center.
Take nothing at face value here, and read between the lines.

I remember reading some years ago that most Manila cops, as soon as they can afford to do so, buy their own revolvers. the reason for this is that the revolvers they are issued with are pretty crap and of much less fire power than what majority of criminals use...
I also remember some years back going to the Police HQ in Manila (Fort Bonifacio?) where for 50 US$ I was instructed how to use an M 16 and also an old Colt revolver (with 6 cylinders)...
