Some guy's 12yo daughter is doing a crappy job of playing her violin right behind where I'm sitting at Shakeys.. It's just anything goes in Flip restaurants isn't it???

I think I've got some sort of nutso-family-sit-right-next-to-me magnet thing going where ever I go here

Mate....come down here and go to a restaurant...usually a few half-drunk wenches trying to out-swear each other and prove they're the better man. It's far more entertaining in the Philippines...

Or how about the noise makers people are selling in front of Lee Plaza? They are trying to outdo the noise of the trikes, motorcycles and all the other street noise. Hey, that's what I want to buy my kid, something that he can use to be more annoying.

    flip?

""Flip" was coined derogatorily during the Filipino-American War, and was used by American soldiers to belittle the native Filipinos.".. Wikipedia

With all due respect, I don't appreciate your using the word "flip". If you don't like the Philippines or Filipinos for being noisy in public places.... I suggest you don't come to the Philippines. I would've felt the same way you did....but there is no reason for you to say it so. I do hope not everyone sees Filipinos, same way as Bandit.

    Agree with Aying on this.
Flip, to my ears, sounds very much like the racial slurs of "I'm a racist" or "spic"...
    Is that what was intended?

Unfortunately I'm not really concerned how you two feel about my using Flip.. you're reading way too deep into my post. A typical reaction here to crticism btw.

Restaurants here are a circus. Yayas walking behind wandering kids that aren't allowed to be told "No" as they trash the place causing extra work for the employees, kids screaming, running around, dumping stuff on the floor, shoving chairs into other customers, etc.
