Im glad i found this site, some great information on here.
Im coming to dumagette for 3 nights (Wed 20-Fri23)and am just wondering whether the beach resorts are a good thing .(look great in the net photos)
i have been looking at a few of them and from what i can work out the "eldorado Beach Resort" sounds as good as any.it also isnt too expensive.
My main question is it possible to get transport to and from town and would this be possible at night.
Im hoping to check out the nightlife so dont want to get stranded.
I have thought about staying at the bethel for one night and a resort for the others.
what are the chances of turning up and getting accomodation at a hotel or resort without reservations.?
another thought i had was to hire a scooter and commute in and out to town.
Is this possible?Any ideas on prices to hire scooters for 3 days?
Does anyone recommend any hotels in the city that are quiet?Im going to be after a good sleep on wednesday after a long flight from oz.
    Thanks for any help.

el dorado is indeed a good place for you to stay...however, if you are wanting to have a night life in bars in the city, i suggest that it would be best to rent a scooter for three days. that way, you can drive wherever you want anytime.. Busses are rare going to the city on nighttime so a scooter will really come in handy..plus, it is not expensive to rent a scooter. you can go near OK pension house if you want to rent a scooter. However, be aware about overpricing of rented motorbikes.. it should be 100 pesos for 5 hours...and so, if you rent it for 3 three days, it should be around 1,500...

hotels in the city if you want to sleep when you arrive...hmmm,....there are lots of places where you can stay...but if you prefer quiet, i suggest south sea resort or santa monica resort...

good luck and have fun when you arrive...
