I almost hate myself for mentioning the "CP" word again and I'll risk incurring Rhoody's wrath in doing so but for good reason,

Cebu Pacific has launched a new 3-day seat sale starting now until May 29, 2009 with fares as low as P588 for domestic and P1,388 for international flights valid for travel from July 1 to August 31, 2009.

This just fits in nicely with Annabelle's plan to visit Davao for the orchids. Anyone else here married to an orchid addict? I'll go along just for the Durian. I'll be on my best behaviour as well to avoid an extra-judicial execution!

CP really IS improving its booking and credit card connectivity. Both booking and payment went through without difficulty and on the first try.

The DGT - CEB connection to CP's Cebu hub opens up a whole realm of possibilities for inexpensive and speedy air travel to a large number of non-Manila destinations. This possibility remains, as yet. unmatched by CP's competition

    Kudos to Cebu Pacific!

Rhoody, i can not refute what you are saying. I defer to your wisdom. Are you getting to Clark from Dumaguete by bus or by hitch-hiking?

I'm pleased to report that my booking went through without a glitch - that's progress, non?

with a double seat broom from Siquijor... actually I think about ferry in the suite to Manila. did this before, was an awesome trip worth each peso.

Cebu Pathetic does not accept any of C-Cards... what progress.???

Next Cebu Pathetic episode... The Dane booked a flight for 5 person. We checked in, went direction gate. sat down in a bistro. We ordered food and drinks for about 2000 peso.
just after we ordered the speaker announced "Last call for boarding Cebu Pathetic flight nr..."

    50 minutes early.

they made that 2 times and we were forced to pay the 2000+ at the bistro without receiving any of the items.

Of course no word of Cebu Pathetic during the check inn that the flight might be early....

another 2000 peso lost with a frucX up of Cebu Pathetic

Just curious, is the P588 fare includes fuel tax and other hidden fees?
I heard the last time they have like a P1 a seat sale and after you pay you'll find out they added P2,500 fuel tax or something like that.

Good point. I just did a "what if" booking for DGT - CEB on 8 Jun 09, the next date on which seat sale availability exists on this city pair. There is a "WAF manual" fee payable (whatever that is) and the usual 12% VAT on the whole works. That's all. Just after check in one pays a 30 peso terminal fee and that's it.

    No surprises.

Naturally, you realize that departure taxes and terminal user fees have nothing to do with the carrier be that CP or any other. That is one advantage of starting your journey at Dumaguete where only a 30 pp terminal fee is payable. Keep the receipt and no further fee is required to be paid on connecting flights

I think that you would have been stuck with the international departure tax either way but you could have been spared the "bite" in Cebu.

Don't worry about sharp pencils - when it comes to dumb mistakes; I've made many of them. That's why I married a smart lady - from Bayawan.
