I just wrapped production of a tourism video promoting this great place. I will try and post a link here so you can view it. Its hosted on a production forum so please bear with the techspeak you might find on the host site.

I posted it earlier but it didn't show, that's when i read the announcement that new members will have to wait for 24 hours for their posts to clear. I'm not sure if that's what happened so I'll just check in here later.

and as you might be only the producer of the video for the DoT, you wont have much background info. The DI team approached all touristic related offices in Dumaguete and Negros with the goal of working together and got rejected in sometimes a real rude way.

We offered them a platform with 1800 - 2000 visitors each day, and that more than once, as people get more info on our hundreds of content-pages and questions will better answered on the forum than any of the office clerks could do.

They were not even willing to make a appointment just to exchange ideas...

They do prefer wasting money on useless webpages w/out any usable or outdated information or empty show villages.

I will talk to my partners but I dont think any links will show up on this forum... before we got approached directly, as we did more for the tourism here than any office in Negros, we may put the link of your video on one of the appropriate content-pages, but don't expect much.

Hi Rhoody,

I produced the Video for the Regional Office of the Department of Tourism for Region 7 and didn't report to any office or person on Negros Island for this material.
I was left to do the script and production as well as creative treatment.

The material is hosted on my own account in a production forum that discusses camera techniques and such.

I am however part owner of the copyright which allows me to share with people the link to view it without allowing them to download it.

I do understand your frustration with local bureaucracy and my intention to post a link here is in part also because of that, as i found very few materials being done about this beautiful island.

This video was intended for outside of the country use during sales missions and trade shows, not local. But i just wanted to share with you guys this material on my own initiative.

If you feel that its against your forum rules to post it then its ok, I will respect that.

I am not frustrated at all and we tried to talk to the regional DOT office of Reg VII also. same result...

that's why we might put your link up on some of our content pages.

We just started it a week ago and it will be most likely the biggest forum about the Phillipines in a couple of month with a huge network around it.

We run a bit a different goal and policy there and you will find the appropriate category for the Duma and the Bohol video-links...

The video has embed tags on it. If it has any use to you whatsoever, feel free to embed it for Neg Or promotions.

I'll be posting the Siquijor material soon, another beautiful island that could use promotions, I'll see if I can find an appropriate site for it.
