    Hi All,
I'm hoping to move to the Philippines one day.
Those who recognize my moniker will know that I'm hoping for a house made of bricks.
    Regards,
    Baboy Tulo

Building a house made of bricks is quite unpossible in the Philippines for a number of reasons.
Earthquakes and also the sand (to mix with ciment) are not fit to make a durable construction with bricks.
Traditional way of building and covering the construction afterwards with bricks is possible.

I think it all depends on the location of your house. Lucky for us here in Dumaguete, we never experienced any major earthquakes (God forbid!) like buildings crumbling and earth breaking, etc. We had quakes but not really that earth-shaking the way they happened in China or Japan. I hope Dumaguete will remain to be as gentle in times of quakes.
