Rumors say SM might finally settle in Sibulan in ricefields near the airport, just like the location of Mall of Asia in Manila...

    SM

Wouldn't that be a little difficult because of the height restrictions around
    the airport?

I don't know because Mall of Asia is near the airport, and in fact I have seen new urban designs integrating malls, commercial districts and offices as part of an airport metropolis, or "aerotropolis." They say nowadays it is the "survival of the fastest". Anyway, malls are usually sprawling and not tall, so they probably are within height restrictions.

Yes, rumor has it they already own that block of land, which is quite sizable. Also I think it is out of the airport zone. Who knows, maybe they will open before Robionson's.

Robinsons Dumaguete, a "beautifully designed mall with a lot of retail offerings," will tentatively (until official ananouncement) open to the public on November 27, 2009 with the opening of its supermarket. Scheduled to open on December is Mang Inasal. We hope to give you updates as soon as we get hold of information.

    SM in Duma?

When I was there a couple of weeks ago I spoke with My Friend Who's the General Manager of McDonalds. He told Me that the Real Estate group from SM was in town and that They had just purchased,or are in the process of purchasing property in the Claytown/Daro area.Whether or not this is true remains to be seen.If You ask Me,it's a better location than the Airport, and if that's the case, The Casa Demonte Verde had better think about expanding....
