Certainly the best but also the most expensive is Siliman, count on almost 30,000.00 pesos / year.

The most expensive schools are still Montessori in Talay and Southdale in Daro. This is because the student to teacher ratio is usually kept to a minimum (5:1, in some instances). These schools are ideal for children with ADHD and learning disabilities. Rates would cost between P40,000-P50,000 a year. Silliman has recently offered a class for 3-year olds, or those who are too young for nursery at their new building beside the Silliman Church. I think the rate is around P25,000-P30,000. For my money I'd go with Silliman, seeing as they've been around for the past 108 years and counting.

3 of my children went to MONTESORRY I would not recomend this place for even an obedience school for my dog. It is nothing but a glorified babysitting service:mad:

I have my granddaughter in Holy Cross montessory program. She was in the pre-school last year and now is in kindergarten. She enjoyed it and she learned something. What more can you ask from a preschool program?
Holy Cross is owned by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce so Mandarin is taught. Not a bad thing in today's world.

Sorry Dave I wasn't arguing with your experience only trying to express my own experience and offer a suggestion to the member who was looking for a suitable day care.

    Preschool

I have 2 girls in ABC school and would recomend it to anyone.
It's only P15K per year and they watch after the kids, unlike Sillyman.

Right, I forgot about Holy Cross, some of my friends' kids go there, and they're very satisfied. Montessori in Talay was quite good when they first started out, but the quality of education started to diminish when they overextended themselves by branching out to high school and the owner/directress, who is an exceptionally good educator, had to hire new teachers, who ended turned out to be very mediocre. And since they were the first ones accepting very young students and offering air-conditioned classrooms then, I'd tend to agree that it's turned out to be a very expensive daycare center. I also don't like their philosophy of letting a child retake flunked exams until he passes it. Real life doesn't give you that many chances. You don't want your child to be too insulated from the real world.
