There are more details in other articles.

Cebu Daily News | Cebu's Only Independent Newspaper

According to the girl he was trying to get a sex show going by having her have sex with her cousin in front of him.

Otherwise... naked women running out the front door screaming. Some unresponsive dude lying on the floor. Lots of drinking. Sounds like a typical Saturday night at my place. :D

LMAO. Now Rhoody, that wasn't very nice. Honest, probably, but not very nice.

Does the victim have to pay for the prosecution of the perpetrator in Cebu also?
Now I'm really afraid of retiring to Dumaguete.

    Cautious? Yes. Afraid? No

I don't mind people bringing up these stories. There's nothing wrong with being informed. As someone brought up already, there's a lot missing from the story but that's typical of most "reporting" anyway. Most journalism today is done more for shock value than anything else.
These events can happen anywhere including where I'm living right now. A couple of days ago two women were stabbed while sleeping in their home, leaving one dead and the other hospitalized. There doesn't seem to be any connection between the suspect and the victims.
To say Dumaguete is worse is an exaggeration.

I agree. I feel it is much safer here than most places I lived in the US.

But at least US have decent Justice policies and police force. Dumaguete police seems to be a joke right.

After being involved extensively with the "justice" system in the US, I found it to be an absolute joke too, just in different ways. In fact, that was one of the things that brought me to live in the Philippines permanently.

You must pay to have the case filed. That starts the ball rolling. From then on it is just your lawyer fees. In most cases nothing happens because the victims either don't have the money to file,or they are just too lazy to do so:cool:
