    Off lotion

    I once dabbed some OFF lotion on my bedroom door, at the end of a hallway, where mosquitoes tended to hover at dusk. The next morning, all the paint peeled off right where I placed it. And we used to place this on OUR SKIN!

    Remember that we have Dengue Fever in Dmgt.

    The potential negative health effects of an insect repellant must be measured against the reduced risk of getting mosquito transfered deceises. In the Philippines mainly Dengue Fever, for which there is no other protection than to minimize the amount of mosquito bites.

    All the common profylacta against malaria have known and serious side effects as well. But in spite of this there use is still recommended in areas, where malaria is a serious problem, mainly Africa.

    I discovered an organic mosquito repellant in the States two years ago, and yes, it works on Philippine mosquitos: it's called CACTUS JUICE, and can be found in some pharmacies in Dumaguete (Lee Plaza's pharmacy on the grocery level used to stock it).
