But not at all a newbie to Dumaguete. It's been my home for 20 years but lately I only get to visit a few weeks in a year.

Thanks for coming up with this site o great Dane :P Glad to hear about all the new stuff that's happening in Dumaguete. At least I don't get too surprised with all the changes whenever I come home.

    Oh, and hi everyone

    Hi Laineelang,

I'm sure you've seen a few changes to and in your city over the past 20 years. May I ask what your thoughts are on expats in your city nowadays?

hey all, thanks for the welcome  I'm looking forward to going back to Dumaguete again coz I miss unwinding there... and I miss the cheap but yummy food!

tfa, hmmm I don't really have any qualms on the growing number of expats in DC. I'm glad that a lot of other people are finding solace in my hometown and are enjoying it as much as I enjoyed it then. I'm a live and let live kind of person

The only thing that bothers me a bit is the expansion. I mean, I'm glad that there's McDonald's now, and Robinsons soon (I always wished there'd be a mall there when I was still a kid) but I honestly hope it doesn't lose the charm it's always had ever since. It's what keeps me coming back, after all.
