Hi I'm new to the city.
Is there any German bakery of sausage maker here in town?
Also if one wants imported foodstuffs is there a shop in town for that?
Seems like a peaceful nice place:smile:
    Thank you

you get german style bread (with some imported ingredients) at casablanca ( Casablanca Delicatessen )

sausages are imported, you won't get a german sausage out of a Pinoy pork... hehe

    Thanks Rhoody

    Is Casablanca easy to find?
Amazing on Panglao I got very tasty bratwurst from a German sausage maker, made to the specifications of my German dive shop owners! Also there were two German breadmakers and one Swiss I knew about possibly more!
Any good recommendations for hangouts and food in the city...is there anywhere in Dauin worth eating at..I think I saw a sign for an Italian place on the hwy?
    Thanks for that

little Italy is not existing since 2 years, Food in Dauin at El Dorado is ok, soon to open Mikes Beachresort. Mikes Dauin Reef Resort (check for updates, will open October)

Atlantis kitchen good but super expensive.

Casablanca is easy to find: Casablanca map and contact

Drive straight into Duma from Dauin, when you hit the public market take the second left and the next left again. (usually it's the first, but under construction now).

Also Why Not has a deli at the boulevard with some nice stuff.

I know the sausages in Panglao, well, not bad if there is no choice... I am here 8 years and happy for that, but not really comparable to imported (and expensive) real german sausages.

There is another breadguy in Duma but I stopped recommending him a he is super unreliable and delivered my 150 Pretzels and other stuff the day AFTER the party.

Food in general is personal taste, so I can't recommend a lot.

    just some general:

European: Casablanca, Edelweiss, Why NoT (well 50 dishes in 1 sauce, same owner as El Dorado, but El Dorado far better)

    Sea-Food: LabAz

real Burger: Waterfront Cafe (also closest to Mexican food you can get here) and Privat Garden

Local Cuisine: Hayahay (also great Entertainment)

the nordic crowd likes Coco Amigos

    hope it helps a bit...

    cheers

    Rhoody
