⌛ Buglasan Festival 2009 - Calender of Events

Finally and even BEFORE the Festival begins we were able to organize at least a tentative Calender of Events for the Buglasan Festival 2009 in Dumaguete/Negros Oriental.

All credits go to Rechel who did not get tired to nail some people down on the chairs until she was able to pull the Calender of Events out of the printer.

This years Buglasan Festival in Dumaguete is under the slogan:

Building Stronger Alliance Among Tourism Stakeholders of Negros Oriental

Well... nah nevermind... Thank you also to the Negros Tourism Office at the Sidlakan Village, the main Area for this years Festival of the Festivals, who gave us this schedule.

So let's get in party-mood for Buglasan 2009...




never mind if you have no clue what all this acronyms are. On the second page you will get an explanation and if I see you around the festival you will be tested on them. Each mistake means a ice-cold SMB for me...

based on the schedule of activities it looks more like a collection of noise makers to me.. far from the original core objectives and nature of "buglasan" that was. only the fireworks seem attractive at least. just me talking out loud though.

I went yesterday evening with some drinking brothers.
It was very crowded.
But sitting at a table and having some cold beers does give me a relaxed feeling even with thousands of people around me :D
I will visit it each year for sure

The schedule looks packed. I went there one evening and got a headache from the multitude of people walking to and fro. LOL I'm allergic to crowds, it seems.

 

well, I won't say my opinion as I promised in a weak minute to behave for a few days, but following is a chat I had on Yahoo with my lovely Rechel, she called the ORGANISER IN CHARGE about this evenings program ... here what I got just now...

Rechel : hi papa.. i'm confused about the schedule i've got about buglasan... tonigth at 8pm abs cbn nigth... i call to ask that.. and what would be expected in that nigth... and tourism answer me... " a... just an ABS CBN nigth.... maybe they have local artist... im not sure ma'm ""

hmmm, after I was there on friday and was tortured by a "step a cat on the tail and let her scream in the microphone"-contest, missed Saturday and Sundays breathtaking Karaoke evening (officially called: Minus 1-singing), I decided to have my cold one today also not at the "maybe-some-local-artist-night" ... who knows what torture ABS CBN has planned...

looking forward to Fridays dance contest and the firework competition :-)
