⌛ New to the forum just sayin' hi

Hello everyone. My name is Tom and my wife is from the Dumaguete/Sibulan area. We are building a home in Sibulan and plan to relocate from the states in the next year or so.

We have 2 kids age 2 and 4 and my parents that will be coming as well....and her mom will be living with us too. Just one big happy family.

My wife has family we will connect with once we are there. I am hoping to make some connections with other English speakers as well.



Are most of you living in Dumaguete?

 

Hi Tom,
welcome to DI, there are quite a couple living here, others visit frequently and some (like Jellyfish) are allowed to pass the city-limit (coming from Apo Vista in the south) on rare occasions.

Depending on the day/night time you always can catch several members around the city, as there are not that many places to hang out.

It won't be easy to recognise us forum members.
Some, like Rhoody, you can't miss to see if you pass:
They either have a beer bottle IN their hand or the fingers of their (most likely) right hand are fixed into that holding-beer bottle position
I hope nobody takes this serious.
I heard that the DI moderator is giving T-shirts with "DI-member" on it when you have posted more than 100 posts here on this forum
That will solve your problem partly at least (if we get enough shirts to change clothes once in a while :D)

well, Jelly ... I know that with high age occasionally hearing problems occur and people forget things.

To avoid forgetting all the important things in life when getting older, I decided on something different...

I went with some friends to the beach and after some hours of brainstorming we came up with a special treat for 100 + members.

You can get a free Tattoo, paid by DI. We have 3 motives to choose from, as of now...

Welcome Tom! I doubt you will have much problem finding people to talk too...plenty of English-speakers (both native and as a second language), most with plenty of time to talk!

If your kids need a playmate, let me know!
