Adjustment that is not so easy...

ronv8917 I had almost the same life in the states. worked a little longer but same thing. It was hard to shut myself down from that. But I did really enjoy it once I got there. Philippines works on something I like to call rubber time. no one is ever one time they are always late. However they are not late according to Filipino time. Anything from 30 minutes to 90 minutes is still on time. a little hard to get a handle on it and don't Go down that road of saying " well in my country we do it like this" everyone hate that comment and it isn't your country anyway it is theirs. I got in trouble when I said that when I first came. it took me two years to learn how to live there. But once the shine wears off only then you will know if you can really live there. :D

Teacher.....no I don't think I'll make that mistake (maybe other ones) but in Texas, we always hated the northerners saying "back up north we did it this way". We would just say "well, why don't you go back up north?". As far as adjusting to your "rubber time" I believe I can do that very easily. I have had way too many years of high pressure stress.

Pedro.....you are absolutely right. Let my "previous" co-workers find their own paradise. Although, I may send a picture when I know that it is cold and snowing there.

To everyone....thank you all for being so friendly. Never in my life have I looked so much towards doing something as I do this move to phils. For me, this really is my dream come true.

Hi Ron, this whats gonna happen to you.... Go to bed at 5am, take a shower and shave at 2:30 pm look at the sea and the mountain with a blue sky,for miles and miles for 75 minutes. Go to your favorite restaurant and deal with multiple fresn newly baked and cook food. then relax at the boulevard, then go to Black Pearl for jamming, singing, dancing, eating, lastly drinking. then back to bed at 5am with a smile in your face and then do it again....

Caution: Dont get use to it, coz it will screw you once your back in your old country...
