Hey guys, the wife and I will be coming back there Jan 12th and staying for a couple weeks. Is there a good tattoo parlor in the neighbourhood? I have some old ones I need updated / covered.

Glad to be here. I've been lurking for quite some time. My wife will be coming back home for the first time. She has been here in the states with me for two years. If I don't get here home soon I think she will go crazy. She was a teacher at St. Paul University where she taught mathematics. She has had quite a time adjusting to the culture over here.

Welcome!! Your wife and I have something in common....I am still trying to adjust to the culture over here after living in Oklahoma all my life until we moved to the Philippines in July. I know she will be very happy to come home and see her family and friends. I have already been back home once and am planning on going again next month. We are currently living in Metro Manila, but will be moving to Dumaguete in the next few months.

Oklahoma--I was in Lawton for a while when I was in the army. The only place I've ever been where the wind blows on all sides of a building. I'm originally from California, Pleasanton to be exact. Fate has moved me here in Springfield. My wife and i hope to move back to Dumaguete in a few years. It can't be soon enough for me.

I know what you mean, I can only take so much Wowowee and Showtime. Unfortunately we will be away several more years so I have to make the best of it.

 

Ya--We get ABS/CBN here and I'm getting tired of watching her "boom terrot terrot" (spelling). She really needs to see some of her friends. At lease your in Florida Pedro, it's supposed to be in the single digits here today. My California constitution will never get used to this. I guess I'm looking forward to this trip as much as she is.

Rhoody--Any luck on that number 4 me?

My hubby moved from L.A. to Oklahoma in 1997, we just moved to the Philippines from Oklahoma so he was there for 12 years, and his California constitution never got used to those temps, either!!
