I need some serious ideas on how to make a living in the Philippines. I have been thinking about several options, but I can't really get my head straight about which direction to go.
You need to provide a service that someone wants or is able to pay for. Instructors and artist\artisan type work comes to mind. Something with low overhead and that you can provide better than others or at least just as well. What are you considering so far?
Just an advice, better legalize everything first or some angry ex-employee might let out all your dirty secrets
Well... better first sum up here your 'several options' so people can advise on your thoughts since it will reflect (I would expect) what kind of business you want to go in and what your abilities/experiences are ?
Who are you? Where are you from? What are your qualifications? These things will determine your suitability for work/business/study in the Philippines.
Scuba diving instructor... does not make any money but is a cool lifestyle. Friends of mine do some internet stuff and created a quite nice empire. Just was visiting them but cant post pictures of their (rental) place for safety reason. Well, first of all you should find out what you are good in and if that is a demanded skill in the PI. Speaking for me, I am good in beer-drinking, insulting, "bird-"watching and some more... sadly, all of them does not make a living in the Philippines :-( So now I roam through the streets and you can hear me shouting " Baluuuuuuuuhhhhhht"
There couldn't be anything funnier than that..to see a foreigner roaming the streets at dusk selling balut. Nothing wrong with it, just totally random and unexpected, and maybe because it is so, you could sell more balut that way and really make money...
