hi everyone (california jack here) i have been getting the 59-day visa extension but in this weekends paper i noticed the bureau of immigration posted a notice that everyone has to get an aci card by march 1st. this morning i went to our bi office and the lady told me the officer was not in until next week but i would have to fly to cebu to get my card! i said " you mean everyone in duma has to fly to cebu to get this card?" she said something about a fingerprint but was ouite dry with her answers. does anyone have further info you can give on this? would appreciate the help. thanks.
The Bureau of Immigration, Philippines Official Website - ALIEN CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION Here is a link to the BI website that has this information.
I checked the above posted website, but could not find anything about a mandated date, only general info about the card.
aci card Got my acr card before Christmas and yes, they do fingerprints and take a pic. You receive an i.d. just like a driver's license. I had to provide passport, marriage license, 1X1 pics, husband's birth certificate, husband's original filipino passport, in other words....take everything you can think of, we had his dual citizenship papers but they didn't ask for them for some reason!! If you have to go to Cebu, don't get over there without everything you might need. Go early and be prepared to wait all day!! Hope this helps!!
