Per the local DHL office here in Dumaguete, 2-3 business days (excludes weekends) shipping time from Dumaguete to the east coast of the U.S. This is logical because it is air freight.

    Marie and Sue,
Normally if you send it overnight it takes 3 days in Fedex or DHL. I sent all my important documents in DHL or Fedex.

Try using this site to have a basic idea of the cost and transit time, agent's cost may not be included here, I don't know. Maybe you can haggle for the agent's cost, or ask a Filipino friend to haggle for you.

    FedEx Rates and Transit Times

    Dumaguete's zip code I think is "6200"

I had a bad experience with DHL about 2 years ago. I paid $100 to send a packet of documents to my daughter in Cebu from the States. Instead of calling and having the courier pick it up I used one of their drop off stations. It was a sizable packet but I was surprised at the price. When they did not arrive for a number of days beyond the promised delivery, My daughter called the Cebu DHL office nearest her, there are 3. The agent told her that it had not arrived. Only when pressed did he give her the phone number of the other offices. She called around and the Mandaue office told her, "Oh yeah it has been sitting here for a couple days. You can come and pick it up".
    I never use DHL anymore.
