Who is reading your posts?

Maybe most others are lurkers but there are also the Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, all who have long ties to the island. Heck even Americans and the Spaniards have interests here going back 100 years and more. As far as the forum I would guess it is mostly European based but since it is in English it attracts just about anybody who can communicate in English. Recently we have had some post from Iranians interested in Dumaguete. Since they do not ask nationality when you register I would not think it is tracked but the administrator could probably do some sorting of the data base of registrations and provide some numbers on the countries that registrants reside in. Maybe if you asked them nicely they would provide some numbers to you or even make it part of the published statistics when they reach 4000.

 

Getting work stateside would be the plan after she gets her nursing credentials.
She already has experience there working as a CNA, but of course the salaries in that field are not good. Maybe graduating medical professionals should be required to work a few years in the Philippines, just to get better medical care in the provincial areas. But its hard to say what the country needs more, overseas remittances or more local medical care.
Pedro,Thank you for reminding me about my list. Ideally lots of Filipinos would be in the membership. The strongest alloy metal is always made from a variety of elements.
