Mate am arriving in dumaguete in a few weeks time...is there a cheapy hotel you could recommend in the city ..had a look at the Bethel and Niccanor, but wanting somewhere you can meet people....pool bar etc ??
Am still tryin to work out how to post a comment...did a few months ago but for some reason cant do it now, but the one i did you made a nice comment on...so thus the reason for annoying you

Hi Dirk. Regardless of where you stay you can meet other foreigners on the Boulevard which is a sort of concrete boardwalk that runs south of the pier. There are a number of restaurants and bars opposite, some with pool tables but beware of the local hustlers. We dont use hotels as we have a house there but those visitors we can't fit in the house we book into Hotel Palwa which is a nice place walking distance from everything in the city. It;s $25 aussie a night.

I just got home from Brisbane last night. The weather there is just like Duma, warm humid and sometimes wet.
