I took a trip near shaton and stopped at monarch beach resort, really beautiful place, lots of white sand and a big clean bay to swim, good food and great service. A nice place to visit, 100 consumable.

Been to the Monarch Sands several times. Worth the ride out to Saiton. Beautiful white sand beaches and good food at reasonable prices. Like the "off the beaten track" feeling of the place, quiet and no traffic noise or pollution. Friendly staff. Like the raised cottages because of the view and sea breezes. Would recommend the place to anyone.

Where exactly is this place located? Sounds like a place I might like to take my sister to when she visits!

    Reedee,

If your arriving in through Dumi, just head south to direction of Dauin, stay on th National Hwy to km 46 and just past is the sign for Monarch Sands on the right. Turn there. Place is quiet and peaceful.

    Texas Hold Em Tournament

Attended a Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament Sunday, March 7 at the Monarch Sands Resort. They had a good turnout and some exciting games. The resort put together a nice package for players and their families with discounted food, rooms and free use of the beach equipment and kayaks. I didn't play since I am a novice but next time for sure. My wife and I checked in for a couple of days and the weather was beautiful and the ocean inviting. Food was delicious as usual, staff was great and the group that did stay overnight had a fun time tipping back some cold ones and rehashing some of the highlights of the tournament.
