I was wanting to make lasagna and couldn't find ricotta cheese anywhere (not anywhere I was, anyway), so I made some myself. I have to admit, it turned out the bomb!!! And the lasagna is wonderful!!! When I am in Dumaguete and anyone wants or needs some ricotta cheese, I will make some for you!!! Not sure if Robinsons or any of the other supermarkets there have it.

    Hi Marie,
I can definitely use that recipe! When I was in Dumaguete before, a couple of things I missed the most were good cheeses and sour cream! I remember the first meal I made for my wife (very big occasion when we were newlyweds); I decided on beef stoganoff which needless to say, didn't happen after shopping at Hypermart. I settled on spaghetti (American style); she ate a little, then cleared everything away and said, "OK, I'll make dinner now!" I am sure I will miss a few things once we move there for good, but the payoffs will definitely outweigh the lack of stroganoff! Here's to rice, pork, and fish!!!

    good cheeses

Will be happy to share the ricotta cheese recipe with you, just hit me up when you get here!! Yeah, good cheeses are a joke here....I want to make real cheese enchiladas and I am just gonna have to see what I can with the cheeses they have here....not sure they will turn out the same. When are you moving here?
