A new, London Taipei, non-stop flight added to China Airlines routes. It will start March 1, 2010 and run three days a week. If I have a choice I will fly China Air because it's the only non-stop Anchorage to Taipei flight. I can get on in Anchorage and be in Manila 15 hours later. I have always enjoyed the best of service on China Air. I can usually get a ticket for a few dollars less but have to suffer a trip that takes 25 or more hours to get to Manila. Looks like about 523.97 GBP or about $823.oo USD. Looks like about a 14 hour flight. I thought you folks flying to and from the RP, from that part of the world would like to know.
Yes, China Airlines is superb. One of the best around I think. Gone across the pond on them a couple times and regional SEA flights. Quality operation....
This is good news, I wonder how i can get to check the prices as i went to the website but it did not have any flights for the whole of march to UK Maybe they have not updated it yet, i tryed from manila to london. Any idea how i can check the times and prices for these? cheers
I could not get their site to work also for the months of March and April. Once I used May dates it worked O.K.. I do not know why, but I'm guessing that they are already booked full. I know that their flight from Anchorage to Taipei is usually booked full one to two months before the flight.
The London Taipei flight # CI 0070 flies on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Departs 21:15 arrives next day 18:15. I got this off their web site on their "Timetables" page. Hope this helps.
thanks for that grandpaonak, i am trying to book a flight for march with these now but just cannot get it to bring up london! I can get to amsterdam at 795USD but i cannot find a cheap airline to get me across to UK. Cheers just wish CA would sort out there booking machine!
I prefer to fly safer airlines. China Airlines has a very poor safety record. Plane Crashes and Fatal Event Rates of Airlines in Asia and Australasia Since 1970
I have there Gold card I have use China Airlines for more miles than I can count and I have never had even one problem with China Airlines. Other than one thing for as long as I can remember there website sucks. Seems like it only works half the time. But there service is as good as you can get from anyone. As good as Singapore air or even Cathy pacific I haven't seen any difference in the quality of service during a flight. But this is just how I see it and what I know as a loyal customer of China Airlines.
To each his own, but a safety record is a safety record and has NOTHING to do with appearances, websites, or service!
There safety record Now they blame them for a sick passenger who died because of another passenger made them sick. this is a little to much and really doesn't have anything to do with there planes. I don't worry to much about airlines anymore I don't fly near as much as I did. I more worried about cars we use them every day and Toyota seems to be a very unsafe car to me..
