Yes, that dumpsite has been their for years... where it has been ever since... I think it is a bit further on from your place(approx 300-500meters). It would be on the left side, going towards Palinpinon. Its about 200 meters in, from the Dumaguete-Palinpinon Road. It is where the Aviary is. Also if you know where Mother Rita Housing Project is... that's right beside each other.

 

Thank you, that is EXACTLY the info I was needing to hear!! Our main reason for moving to Dumaguete (not exclusive of the droves of people and the insane traffic), is to get away from the pollution for my husband's respiratory health. When I read about the dump and the fact that many residents of Candau-ay have respiratory problems from it, I became concerned for my husband. It seems from what you told me, and some other comments, that we will be fine. So, now I shall go find something else to worry about!!! Thanks!!
