I have Smart bro and it is usually adequate, but over the last few days it has been really bad. Constant fail to load and dropped connection and very slow if I do connect. I talked to Smart and they said no one else had reported a problem. Has anyone else been having difficulty or is this a personal problem? Thanks

Those who are technically inclined would usually advise against using wireless connections, unless there are really no other means. I was considering using Smart Bro or Globe Tattoo before but opted otherwise because of the advise of some technical friends. Now I am quite contented with the reliability of my wired broadband.

Usually it also involves your distance from the nearest cellsite, or the technology that your broadband service provider is using.

Thanks for the response but I guess I didn't make myself clear. I have had this connection for over a year now and up till a few days ago it was fine. I was asking if any other Smart Bro customers were experiencing a problem in the last few days or should I be looking at a computer problem.

    Sir Kenny,

Internet modems such as globe tattoo, suncellular, smartbo depend on the network signal in your place for its internet connectivity. Maybe it just happened you got a weak network signal in your place and that is why you have difficulties in using youre smart bro.I suggest that you better find a good spot in your house which has a good signal of smart and try to use your internet, if trouble persists try to switch with other network such as globe or sun or another option, have your usb modem be openline and use globe o sun if you want it cheaper.

Thanks everyone. The Smart techs were just here and added another 10 feet to my antenna. It seems some trees had grown enough to block my signal.

Does anyone know if there are any mobile broadband services that do charge per kb/MB downloaded and not per time online, such as Tattoo, Red mobile and other similar services? Here in Europe we have deals like 1peso/10kb etc, but in Phils it seems to be mostly 1peso/15 minutes etc.
