    The Speech & Theater Arts and English & Literature Programs of Silliman University are superb! They have produced prominent graduates who have made national and international contributions! Most of the winners of Palanca are either Sillimanians or have been fellows of SU Creative Writing Program. The chairman of the Speech & Theater Arts of UP Diliman is a graduate of Silliman.

    UP Diliman did not participate in the assessment because it was questionable yet it was ranked No. 1 in the Philippines in 2009! Futhermore, the spokeswoman said that UP can not afford to post ads in millions of pesos in a magazine of THES-QS.
