    Hi all,
    I am still in Oklahoma at the moment, returning to Manila next week, and finally making the move from Manila to Dumaguete in May...YAY!! Anyway, after reading some threads here about internet, I have one question......can you get good enough internet connection with any company there to do streaming video? I like to catch up with tv shows, etc...on the internet, and need a decent connection to do so. Any and all input is greatly appreciated!! I am leaning towards Skycable for cable (do they have internet also, if so, is it pretty good?)

    Sky Cable

    I have Sky Cable internet. I opted for their 384kps package at 700 pesos a month. It is slow and streaming video is choppy. They have much faster speeds for more money. I feel their prices are a bit high. The service goes off several times month for whatever reason too which can be expected from any service provider. Overall, Sky Cable internet is OK, not great, just ok. :smile:

    Sky Cable offers 12mbps in Makati and Cebu and other selected locations. They say they will offer in Dumaguete in the future, but have no definite timeline as of the last time I inquired. That would be your best bet.

    Currently the fastest residential offering is Globe DSL at 3mbps.

    I really don't remember, but ballpark is around P2,500 including a local phone line.

    mmm... a bit steep. Would the Php2500 be per mont? Does Sky Cable only have the 384kbps speed or do they have higher? If so can anyone give me a price? I think Sky Cable for tv and internet would be the way to go for us.
