I personally really enjoy watching movies in 3D not because its being pushed by mainstream or anything or that its a new technology which it isn't at all actuality 3-D films have existed in some form since 1890, but until 2010 had been largely relegated to a niche in the motion picture industry because of the costly hardware and processes required to produce and display a 3-D film. Personally I just enjoy the added visual effects it makes me feel more like I am part of the movie vs. just watching it.

well, I just did the obvious and asked directly at the movie-theater....

No, there will be no 3-D in Duma and there are absolutely no plans to have one in the near future ...

I think the trend is for them to have at least one 3D movie theater in each mall...With 3D TVs invading the market I don't think they want to be left behind.

    Robinsons Movieworld gets 3D

MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Movieworld, one of the largest theater chains in the country, is ready to ride the 3D movie boom as it fast-tracks the conversion of existing theaters, from one 3D-equipped screen (in Robinsons Movieworld Galleria), to at least a total of nine. Another 3D screen will be added to the Galleria branch, while Robinsons Metro East, Robinsons Starmills Pampanga, Robinsons Place Manila, Lipa, Bacolod, Iloilo and Gensan will each boast of one 3D screen.

“Robinsons Movieworld has always been about providing the public with the best moviegoing experience, whether through the latest works from the ranks of the country’s independent filmmakers, which we started doing at IndieSine in Robinsons Movieworld Galleria, or through the latest in filmmaking technologies, such as 3D cinema,” said Nilo Mapa, general manager of Robinsons Malls.

well, the clear NO from Robinsons in Dumaguete and the fact that Duma is no-where listed in your article says it all, doesn't it ?
