And...........I couldn't resist showing you the first picture.
I had to watch the video that we took to find out the exact moment that made her make that expression.
It was when he said "I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Vandegrift".
It was a very good day...........

    top 5%

Well ronv ,in my opnion you rank up there in the top 5 percent of the US population . You are smart enough to get the hell out before you either die from burn out or the country goes to hell, whichever would come first . Very smart man , with a beautiful wife . Good for you . Good luck with your Philippine endeavers . Take care , .....Carl

Carl....I hate to sound dramatic, but I kept thinking about dying on the job with nobody in my life to care, so I think the burn-out was already there.
As for the USA, I am a conservative Republican, so don't get me started on the country going (gone) to hell. But keeping my US citizenship is very important to me just so I can vote to try to change things. Sarah is looking pretty good to me right now. Let everybody else "keep the change".

Congratulations to you and your bride! Leaving all those materialistic things behind and setting new priorities was courageous and I too applaud your actions.

    May God bless you both.

To have a sucessful marriage, you must fall in love many many times, and each time with the same person. (Internet quote)

    but it is true........

I have a countdown program on my iPhone that I just leave running. We've been married 49 days and 1 hour and every minute it gets better.
I have taken Teachers advice and I have learned to sit back and accept her ways of doing things for me. I now walk around with a perfect pedicure (first time in my life), among other things that I can't (won't) mention.
The only very very minor problem I've had so far was dealing with her fears of getting pregnant because there is an "aswang" in the neighborhood. But I bought a bolo knife, had a local "herbal healer" make us up the special coconut oil mixture and make me 3 bamboo spears, and bought the garlic and feathers to hang in our bedroom. Now Rudy is sleeping soundly again. But, as I said, only a minor problem.
Other than that, my life is great.
    Best decision I ever made.
In fact, we even found some Old El Paso thick and chunky salsa at the store in SM Mall. Now I have Rudy hooked on Tex-Mex chips and salsa.
    Ain't it a wonderful world.
