@ Rhoody or anyone with any info about the local gyms In Dumaguete. I saw a post that you had closed, about some chap going on about opening a Gold's Gym. You replied that you go to the gym and pay Php30 per session. My husband has been going to the gym almost all his adult life, and would very much like to continue there. Could you please give me the name and address of the gym you mentioned? Yes, I suppose he could rig out a home gym, but, going to the local gym is good, as he will meet people there. Then he won't have to just have the 'old lady' (me:smile: ) for company 24/7!

well, I usually only go weightlifting in the half liter draft class... hehe

the 30 Peso Gym ( 300 a month) is next to the police station downtown Dumaguete, but there are other and better ones around, they cost a bit more but at the end everything is a kind of "homemade" or "fixed.

there are quite some downtown, so the easiest is to roam around and go where the best looking girls are ... hehehe

    cheers

Thanks Rhoody :-) On second thoughts, maybe he should buy the equipment and stay at home!! LOL! Can't have the 'best good looking girls' turn my old mans head at this late stage. I might have to go to the gym myself then and I really HATE gyming! LOL.
    Have a fantastic weekend

Hi Danny! You guys can take an early morning walk at the Mariano Perdices Coliseum, and try their gym or swimming pool, The gym equipments are not modern but worked just fine for me, It can be crowded around 7AM. usage fee is cheap and it is a great place to meet people.

Hi Elaine! Mariano Perdices Coliseum is almost right behind the Provincial Capitol, I think they also allow access late afternoon, it is a nice place to walk because of the rubberized track PLUS a great view of cuernos de negros. I am not sure about what time they are closing the gym, you can ask the guy issuing tickets at the main entrance of the Coliseum.

    Have a nice day!

That was very funny Mrs Danny, you went from this:

"he could rig out a home gym, but, going to the local gym is good, as he will meet people there. Then he won't have to just have the 'old lady' (me ) for company 24/7!"

    to this:

"Thanks Rhoody :-) On second thoughts, maybe he should buy the equipment and stay at home!! LOL! Can't have the 'best good looking girls' turn my old mans head at this late stage."

In a single post. You have to give Rhoody credit for telling it the way it is, at least for him. Maybe you will be like asawa ko, only lets me out with an "escort."

@Pedro. LOL = Laugh Out Loud ie it is a joke. Haha. After being married for 41 years I trust my husband completely. About him getting the gym equipment and staying home? Haha. There are gorgeous ladies at the gym he goes to here in South Africa, but he is not interested in them - only in me. I really won't keep him on a leash, I promise hahahaha

There is actually a nice gym near Bandera Square (sp?) - I think it is called Fit for Life? On the 4th floor of the building - A few treadmills, weights - everything you need in a gym. Nice view from the treadmill - I think the fee was 300pesos a year!!! Deal!
