Under Sipalay City Negros Occidental it talks about a white sand beach called Punta Ballo. Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get to from the Sipalay City Proper beach. I'm assuming you take a boat?? Any information you can give is greatly appreciated. God Bless

    from Dumaguete:

ROUTE 1 : via Bayawan- Hinobaan - Sipalay

Bus - 2 hrs to Bayawan + 2 hrs to Sipalay. (+ or minus 20 mins on each) + 30 mins. stopover in bayawan.
    * No direct/non-stop bus to Sipalay. Stops-over in Bayawan for 15-30
minutes. (but you to make sure you are on the Dgte-Bayawan-Sipalay Bus) Or else you need to transfer to another bus in Bayawan Terminal
    * Bayawan to Hinobaan roads is not yet fully developed, some parts are
not cemented/asphalted yet, this is why Bayawan to Sipalay could
    could take 2 hrs.

Private Vehicle - subtract 1 hr from TOTAL the bus timing

ROUTE 2 : Via Mabinay - Kabankalan -Sipalay

    Bus : Dumaguete-Mabinay-Kabankalan, 3-3.5 hrs

    Kabankalan - Sipalay , 2-3 hrs

    * You will have to transfer to another BUS!, NO direct bus for Dgte-Sipalay via Mabinay/Kabankalan

Private Vehicle : Subtract 1 - 2 hrs from TOTAL the bus timing.

You will have to check with CERES Lines/Vallacar Transit on the scheduled for direct Sipalay Also, Direct Sipalay doesn't mean it wont do stops. Still it will Transit in Bawayan as mentioned above.

    Hope that helps.

Take a Cerus Liner to Bayowan , then you go into a Cerus liner to Sipalay.
In Sipalay you take a hubble hubble or a trycickle to Punta Balo beach.
That is a ride of almost 10 minuters , and yes the beach is very nice and when you drop into Easydiving resort you have a perfect place to stay.
The ride from Dumaguete to Sipalay is about 4.5 hours.

    Greetings J.Diver

Punta Ballo is approximately 10-12 Kms from Sipalay City Proper. The road is excellent. Cemented all the way to the feeder roads towards the individual resort.
