    I am looking for an English Teaching institute or language teaching programs in Dumaguete for foriegners who wish to learn how to speak english fluently with a good american accent or can help them to get semi fluent in 3 months time. If they are also specialised for IELTS exams the better. how much would be their tuition aproximately?thanks for your help

    This is a late response and I don't know anything about the place but there appears to be an English language school in the alley next to Immigration.

    Speakers of english? from the north of england, wales, scotland, ireland are even less understandable.

    Is there any reason why you would like to learn to speak english with american accent?. Are you looking for a job in the US in the future? I just wonder.:wink:

    Are you planning to work in a call center? I think call centers require that you speak with an American accent. Or are you planning to go abroad and work there? It all depends on what you need the English language for.

    No thanks, I got one. With my job, there are sometimes that I will call the insurances and check for pt's. eligibility and benefits, and some insurance couriers route the call to the Phils. call centers. Filipino representative (customer service) receives my call don't sound like have an american accent. Speak english perfectly, and I understood them very well.

    Call centers in the Phils. is not looking for a person that can speak with american accent, they are looking for a person that can speak english fluently and can communicate with other people in all other countries. To pick up an american accent you have to live in the US for many, many years.:smile:
