there's 2 limits on your atm card. One is by your own home back that issues your atm card. They set a daily limit on the amount you can withdraw.

the 2nd is the amount per transaction that banks allow which typically is 10,000 (some do allow 20K pesos per withdraw)

So, if you home bank has a limit of say $1000 US a day. You can do multiple transactions at 10K a piece (or 20K if atm allows it) till you reach your home banks limit.

    cheers,
    Mark

 Hi, I too use a Spanish Card and in The phils you will be restricted to 10.000 php per day, Be carefull as some ATM machines will not serve Internationl cards BDO being one of them (Real Street only) I always use the machines in the Main areas and in Lee Plaza. PNB in Real Street is always a good bet. Happy Spending. JP

US account allows 20,000.oo php a day but BPI only allows me 10,000.oo per transact. I have BPI account also and they allow me 20,000.oo per transact and maybe even more in 2nd transact , so this is the same bank setting limits low for US accounts and setting limit high for my BPI account. Also Differing intrest rates for dollars and pounds where pounds get better interest rates. I would check with issuing foreign bank and the owner of the ATM being used, the middle ground of the frappe is there.

i called my bank in the US and had a slight increase done to my daily ATM limit. So, now I can stand at the ATM's here and do multiple withdrawls up to my daily limit.....

Very good advice. After 9 years in asia I would say, stay low profile and don't stand at the same ATM for that long....
