    Well, if the nest wasn't over a 20 foot high wall and in the barnyard behind us, I would totally give the boiling water trick a try!! I can nuke them with ant spray, tho!!

    Black ants bite as well as red ants.
    Mapecon is a waiste of money.
    There is only one way and that is to spray regularly, in rainy season even everyday.
    Buy a pressure sprayer and a bottle of (concentrate) termitekiller and spray as much as possible. In the beginning everyday, after some time perhaps weekly.
    Find out if you are alergic to ant- or waspbites, many people are.

    An antitermiteproduct available in the Philippines (i don't know in Dumaguete) is STEDFAST of BASF.

    Enviro friendly and food safe ant spray we use on the kitchen counter is Simple Green. Use full strength.

    I do know about the black ants....had to pry one off my arm the other day, it was biting me like crazy!!

    I've never been bitten by a black ant here, even when covered with them while chopping down bamboo! Maybe I don't taste good? Mosquitoes here seem to like filipino blood better than mine also! :D I tell my filipino friends and family that they are my mosquito bait! :D

    Yup! The one in Robinson's Mall. Some other places here have it as well.
