I agree there is not much buying power here due to the low level of Duma income 'Rhoodie' but there are over supply in such as - 18 Hair salons, 9 massage salons, 6 skin clinics, 13 bread shops, 4 bike shops, over 50 Take away food shops, clothes, mobile phone shops etc by the dozens. If you can think of supplying Duma with something it hasn't got and put your money where your mouth is and make a killing, I will agree with you.

well certainly we did... you just use that service (where we are paying quite some money and spending a lot of time) for free there was 3.5 years ago no single info-source about the city. starting from where to go , what to do, to emergency numbers and info of any kind.

If any business makes a killing or not, is basically not your cup of tea. the businesses you mentioned above probably help many families to buy their daily food and pay rent.

And if you take your (totally wrong) numbers to any town in the west, you will have more bakeries, takeaway food-places, car/bike shops and all you mentioned in a 100k City

you should think before talking, in that case post

I just love seeing outsiders come in thinking they have the next best thing and plunk their money down. That is how Robinsons is surviving in Dumaguete. But that is also Entrepenuership. I just wish people would do better market research, but hey its not my money and more power to you.

Thank you guys for the discussion and it's good to know possitive and negative feedbacks about Dumaguete and I did see that and a good reminder to myself as well.

One thing in Dumaguete...overpricing, no quality and poor service. So many people working with cheap salaries....and what can u expect. I'll try something new...something with ranges...something affordable to different classes of people in the city...quality and good service whatever class you belong.

    Well Sir,
1.) just because little morons have no clue what the DI Team is doing does not mean it does not earn money.

2.) The free entertainment club actually will close it's doors for you as 6 plain annoying, wrong info and pointless posts basically is enough server-space we are willing to provide that kind of people for free.

3.) I do certainly understand that people tell you something just to get rid of you. Therefore I am pretty happy to have no shop that I need to deal with that kind of fools day-in day-out.

4.)It is here like in each mall in the PI that you pay percentage. Fixed leases for food-shops are applicable if the franchiser demands a specific area (like usually the big food-chains do)

    5.) have a wonderful weekend

earlier this year it was 20% plus power plus water. That seems to be standard, it is the same rate in Lee plaza or Hypermart. not sure about the small food-court in mart one. I will ask next time I am downtown at shop-opening times
