    Hello to all.

We just moved here and we found that the YMCA is by far the cheapest place to stay . The rooms are air con and clean . The are a little older but you have your own CR. If you buy a membership for P200 you get a 20% discount off of the P a night for a double.

Also some of the locals i talked to at MC Donald's, the official meeting place for expiates, thought that it would be a good idea to start a ex pate phone directory or info email list too inform everyone of special events or situations.

I have only been here a week but i see a defined need for a buyers co op for food. Every thing in the Philippines is controlled by the three or so big retailers.

Example, SM owns Hyper mart, Lee Mall. SM malls, Cebu Pacific air and Makro that i know of and probable more.

I talked to a lady that sells to Petersons a she said they pay her p40 for fresh herbs she grows and sells them for P240 to you and me. Do you think the people are getting taken or what?

whoever told you that, but that is wrong.

Most of he McDo Expats are exactly that type of people I would not take as a serious resource. They just know too much of anything, if you get what I mean...

YMCA double aircon were around 300 peso a year ago, don't know now.

Lee Plaza is owned by the Lee family. They also own Antulang Beach Resort near Siaton. We have met some of the the family and partied with them.

They have no ties whatsoever to SM, Shoe Mart, or the owner thereof Mr. Sy.

I would suggest YOU do some research then nobody would have to shoot you!
