I would advise anyone from signing up to the smart bro unless they have no other choice. I was with Globe for 4 years and had a reliable service. I let my gf talk me into switching to Smart because it was a 2mbps connection for 999 instead of a 1mbps that Globe was offering.

Smart came and tested the service in my apartment and it was really fast. I speed tested it against Globe given that I still had my Globe connection and Smart was faster.

I received my modem the next day and ever since I have had nothing but problems. The only time there is any decent speed is from about 2:00am to 7:00 am. The rest of the time there is a connection that constantly cuts in and out. I can only download files at about 20kbps at best. It currently speed tests at 0.2mb.

I have had numerous calls with Smart and they keep giving me the run around. Basically I think they oversold and do not have the infrastructure here. One of the agents as much as confirmed my suspicion.

I am in the processing of trying to fight my way out of the contract as it has been 5 months of sh*t.

    Smart Bro

We absolutely had no other choice!! Especially when Globe told us to "explore other options" for our telephone and internet service. Not thrilled with Smart Bro speed, but it works okay most of the time, and like you mentioned, very early in the morning it is pretty good and dwindles as the day goes on.

The quality of service depends solely on the area you are in. For us it is the opposite. We had Smart service for 3 years, then switched to Globe early this year. Smart was much more dependable.

Yes, Globe does ring back, past the point where they become annoying! We find Globe a little faster, but Smart was more dependable. However, Globe also is cheaper (P799) and allows me to use my router and be online with the PC and the laptop, whereas Smart wanted another P999 to do that.

    Smart Bro

That is interesting they wanted to charge you another p999 to use on two computers.....we can run as many computers as we want, as long as they can pick up wi-fi signal.
